Product warranties and your consumer rights

Special Solutions Flood Protection supplies reusable flood-protection products with local advice and support. The warranty information supplied with your quotation identifies the product and any applicable manufacturer warranty.

Our express warranty

Our 12-month limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in accordance with the instructions supplied. Any longer warranty expressly agreed for your product remains applicable. Existing orders retain their agreed warranty terms.

Your statutory rights

This express warranty is additional to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and other applicable New Zealand law. Those rights are not limited to 12 months and are not excluded by this page. Where the Act applies, the appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances; nothing here limits any entitlement to repair, replacement, refund or compensation.

We will discuss the assessment, appropriate remedy and any return arrangements with you. Please contact us before returning a large barrier so we can arrange suitable handling.

Care, installation and damage

Follow the instructions for the supplied model, inspect components before use, and clean, dry and store them appropriately. Our express warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, unsuitable installation or normal wear. We will assess the cause of a fault rather than automatically refusing a claim because a third party installed the product or because installation required an approved modification. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Product information and operating limits

Available specifications, technical evidence and operating limits vary by product and configuration. Ask us for documentation relevant to the system being quoted. Product dimensions, material tests and demonstration videos do not by themselves establish a certified protection depth or performance at your site.

Flood barriers help reduce risk but cannot guarantee a completely dry property in every event. Correct installation, deployment, ground conditions and other water-entry routes all matter. This statement does not exclude any responsibility or remedy under applicable law.
