FloodBloc Wall – ABS Flood Barrier System

Overview
The FloodBloc Wall is a modular flood defence system engineered to stop rising water quickly, safely, and without requiring permanent construction. Each self-anchoring panel locks together to create a watertight wall that redirects or contains floodwater around homes, shops, and public infrastructure.
Developed under Danish-engineered design principles and manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards, FloodBloc Wall delivers professional-grade protection in a lightweight, easy-to-deploy form.
Design & Construction
• Material: High-impact ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) polymer the same durable plastic used in heavy-duty construction components.
• Structure: Hollow, rib-reinforced body designed to resist flexing under hydrostatic pressure.
• Connection System:
Precision-moulded tongue-and-groove joints form a tight, watertight seal.
Integrated locking clips secure adjoining panels firmly.
Optional corner and end units allow 90° turns or closed-loop installations.
• Stability:Self-anchoring design uses floodwater weight against the curved base for grip.
No bolts, stakes, or external frames required.
• Colour: High-visibility red for safety and quick deployment.
• Testing: Independently verified for tensile, flexural, and impact strength (ISO 527-1, 178, 179-1) and UV aging (ISO 4892-3).
Performance
• Height per panel: ≈ 0.5–0.6 m
• Length per panel: ≈ 1.0 m
• Setup speed: 10 m of barrier in minutes by one person
• Slope tolerance: ±3 degrees between panels (accommodates mild ground contours)
• Hydrostatic resistance: Withstands floodwater up to ≈ 0.5 m depth with minimal seepage
• Operating temperature: –20 °C to 60 °C
• UV rating: Level 4 (ISO 4892-3) — suitable for long-term outdoor exposure
Ground Compatibility & Installation Surface
Recommended Surfaces:
FloodBloc Wall™ performs best on firm, relatively smooth, and stable ground that allows full base contact:
Concrete (driveways, footpaths, carparks)
Asphalt or bitumen
Pavers or tiled areas with tight joints
Compacted gravel or hard earth (firm and levelled)
Acceptable with Minor Preparation:
Short grass or turf (flatten high points and remove debris)
Compacted soil (no loose patches or ruts)
Uneven paving (add rubber mat or PVC liner for better sealing)
On soft or uneven terrain, a thin rubber mat, sand layer, or PVC sheeting beneath the base improves the seal and stability.
Not Recommended:
Loose gravel, sand, or mud
Soft grass or boggy ground
Sharp or broken concrete that could damage the base
For challenging terrain, prepare a levelled strip or use a flexible underlay. FloodBloc Wall panels are designed to follow gentle contours of up to ±3° per joint.
