Dam It Bags - 6 Pack

The Dam It Bags is an eco-friendly and is a great replacement of the traditional sandbag to control the flow of water.

Comes in a pack of six.

Our bags are made of jute which means they soak the water quicker than some nylon alternatives. They're nice and heavy too - swelling to roughly 20kgs. When activated the sack’s height is approximately 15-18cm.

Directions:

• Pre-soak the Dam It Bags for approximately 5 minutes to activate. Bags will swell to a weight of approximately 20kgs.
• Alternatively, you can place the sacks, partially absorbed or dry, into position. Place a weight on top to secure the bag.
• The dry, or partially dry, sacks will swell upon contact with rain or the breaching water.
• When positioning the Dam It Bags ensure the ends are firmly against the adjoining barrier to avoid leakages. When stacking for height to accommodate the volume of water, ensure the sacks are staggered when placed on top of one another to strengthen your barrier wall.

• Suitable for housing, river banks, streets, basement, underground parking lots, warehouses etc.

Storage after use:

• The Dam It Bags can keep their effectiveness for at least 2 months while remaining wet. 
• To dry out the sacks, keep outside in the shade. For optimal drying allow for 2-3 months. Keep out of direct sunlight. 
• Shelf life- at least 4 years
• The used Dam It Bags can be reused, however, the speed and efficiency is not as productive as the initial use.

• Standard size is 600x400mm. When activated the sack’s height is approximately 15-18cm and roughly 20kgs.

• Exterior:  natural jute. Lining: 100% cotton sheet. Filling: Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP).
• Jute sacks are eco-friendly and 100% biodegradable.
• Jute bags are strong, practical and reusable.
